Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 22 July 2026

Please read these Terms before booking or authorising any work. ECU remapping is an aftermarket vehicle modification that may affect manufacturer or dealer warranty coverage, insurance, emissions compliance, roadworthiness and component life. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Greek or European Union consumer law.

1. About these Terms

These Terms govern services booked through or in connection with www.ignitionremap-greece.com(the “Website”). Until the pending business registration is finalised, the service is operated by Jean Pepesco, trading as Custom Ignition Tuning and Remap Greece(“we”, “us” or “our”). The operator details will be updated when registration is completed.

By booking, paying for or authorising work, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you act for the vehicle owner, you confirm that you have authority to approve the work on the owner's behalf.

2. Services

We provide aftermarket ECU software services, including vehicle diagnostics related to the proposed work, ECU reading, map modification, programming, remapping, performance or economy calibration and restoration of an ECU file to an available original or standard calibration.

Our work is independent aftermarket modification work. Unless expressly stated in writing, we are not authorised, approved or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer, dealer or component manufacturer.

We may decline, pause or stop work where we consider a vehicle unsafe, unsuitable, mechanically defective, incorrectly modified or at risk of damage.

3. Quotes, bookings and payment

Quotes are based on the information available at the time and may change if the vehicle, ECU, software, existing modifications or required work differ from what was described. We will seek approval before carrying out materially different chargeable work.

Payment is due as agreed when the booking is confirmed or the service is completed. The Website does not currently process online payments. Any times given are estimates and may change due to access, diagnostics, technical difficulty, third-party file availability or events beyond our reasonable control.

4. Customer authority and obligations

You confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission to authorise the work. Before work begins, you must:

  • provide accurate vehicle and ECU information and disclose warning lights, known faults, previous tuning, repairs and modifications;
  • ensure the vehicle is mechanically and electrically sound, properly maintained and suitable for the requested modification;
  • maintain suitable fuel, fluids, tyres, brakes, cooling, transmission, clutch and other supporting components; and
  • follow any operating, maintenance, fuel-grade and inspection advice provided with the service.

You remain responsible for how the vehicle is used after modification and must not operate it illegally, unsafely or contrary to any applicable licence, insurance, roadworthiness, emissions or registration requirement.

5. Performance estimates and results

Power, torque, economy and drivability figures shown on the Website or discussed before work are estimates, not guaranteed outcomes. Actual results vary according to vehicle condition, ECU version, fuel, climate, existing hardware and software, testing method, maintenance, driving style and other factors outside our control.

Unless a specific result is expressly guaranteed in a signed written agreement, the service is considered complete when the agreed calibration has been correctly installed and the vehicle or ECU has completed our reasonable post-work checks.

7. Remapping workmanship warranty

We warrant that the agreed map will be uploaded with reasonable care and skill. If our remapping workmanship is defective, we will, after being given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the issue, repeat or correct that work without additional workmanship charge.

This workmanship warranty also covers direct physical damage to the ECU that is proven to have been caused by our negligent handling or programming. It does not cover a pre-existing, hidden, intermittent or unrelated defect, customer or third-party interference, electrical supply fault, water ingress, corrosion, accident, misuse, unsuitable hardware, failed supporting component or failure caused by inaccurate or withheld vehicle information.

You must notify us promptly after discovering a suspected problem and must not allow another person to alter the ECU software before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.

8. Voluntary three-day satisfaction guarantee

In addition to your mandatory legal rights, we offer a voluntary satisfaction guarantee on the remapping workmanship. If you are dissatisfied with the result, you must notify us in writing within three calendar days after completion of the service.

We must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and, where technically possible, restore the ECU to the original or standard file available to us. After restoration, we will refund the amount paid for the remapping workmanship covered by this guarantee.

This guarantee does not reimburse fuel, travel, recovery, diagnostic, accommodation, loss-of-use, third-party or mechanical repair costs and does not cover mechanical or electrical component failure. It does not apply where the ECU, map or vehicle has been altered by someone else after our work, or where the complaint results from a pre-existing or undisclosed fault. Nothing in this clause reduces any remedy available under mandatory consumer law.

9. Mechanical and electrical components

Vehicle modification can place additional demand on components. Except where loss or damage is directly caused by our breach of contract, negligence or defective workmanship, we do not provide a warranty for the engine, gearbox, clutch, turbocharger, injectors, fuel system, cooling system, exhaust, DPF, EGR, driveshafts, differential, battery, wiring or any other vehicle component.

A failure occurring after remapping does not by itself establish that the remapping caused the failure. Causation must be assessed from the technical evidence, vehicle condition, maintenance history, fault data and all relevant circumstances.

10. Consumer cancellation and withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer and conclude a service contract remotely or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right under applicable Greek and EU consumer law.

If you expressly ask us to begin work during that withdrawal period and later withdraw before the service is fully performed, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for work already performed. Where the law permits the withdrawal right to end after full performance, it will end only if you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged the resulting loss of that right.

The voluntary three-day satisfaction guarantee in clause 8 is separate from, and does not replace, any statutory withdrawal right or remedy for defective services.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any mandatory consumer remedy.

Subject to the previous paragraph, we are responsible for loss that is a direct and reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of contract or negligence. We are not responsible for loss caused by an undisclosed or pre-existing defect, ordinary wear, misuse, continued driving after a warning or fault, unauthorised third-party work, inaccurate customer information, or failure to follow reasonable advice.

Where the customer is acting for business purposes and where permitted by law, our total liability arising from a service is limited to the greater of the price paid for that service or the amount recoverable under our applicable insurance. This business-customer limit does not apply where the law prohibits it.

12. Other legal terms

Intellectual property and software

The Website, branding, written material and calibration methods remain the property of their respective owners. A customer receives the benefit of the installed calibration for the identified vehicle, but no right to copy, extract, resell, reverse engineer or distribute proprietary map files or software except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.

Privacy, cookies and third parties

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Website cookies are described in our Cookie Policy. Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience; their content and practices are controlled by those third parties.

Events beyond reasonable control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including power or network failure, unavailable third-party technical services, severe weather, government action, civil disruption or unforeseen illness. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and rearrange affected work.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational or service changes. Material changes will be posted on the Website and, where reasonably practicable, announced at least 14 days before taking effect. Changes required by law, a court order or an urgent security issue may take effect immediately upon notice. The version accepted when a service is booked normally governs that booking unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Severability, waiver and entire agreement

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. These Terms, the agreed quotation or work order and any written service-specific terms form the agreement for the work.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint promptly and fairly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Greece, subject to any mandatory right of a consumer to bring proceedings in another competent court.
